HANDMADE Dashavatar set is made by Tamilnadu artisans. The 10 avatars of Hindu god Vishnu is beautifully handcrafted and made of papier mache. This not a clay golu doll set. The Dashavatara are the ten primary avatars of Vishnu, a principal Hindu god. Vishnu is said to descend in the form of an avatar to restore cosmic order. The word Dashavatara derives from daśa, meaning “ten”, and avatāra, roughly equivalent to “incarnation”. The DASVATARAM storyset revolves around the portrayal of the ten different avatars of Lord Vishnu namely Matsya, Kurma, Varaha, Narasimha, Vamana, Parashurama, Rama, Krishna, Balarama and Kalki.
