Sri Venkatesa Perumal with Sri Devi and Budhevi Urchava Moorthy is made in paper mache. In Tamil, Perumal statue with Sridevi and budevi is called urchava perumal or uchava perumal. People used to call him as “Sridevi, Bhoodevi samedha Sri Varadharaja Perumal. In Hinduism, utsava murti, utsavar or uthsavar, is a form of a murti (icon) which represents a deity. The portable utsavar is employed in the tradition of temple processions, serving as a substitute for the central idol present in the temple shrine, called the mulavar. The kolu dolls are typically made by rural artisans from clay and wooden materials and now a days in paper mache then brightly painted. Dolls for golu are generally arranged in an odd number of padis (tiers) to tell a story. Navratri golu festival is celebrated for 9 days.
